Snowed in…

Ways to stay warm..

Bed, books, double duvets, cat and hot water bottles. Essential for a blissed-out snowblizzard survival.
When it snows, I often think of this song by Bonnie Prince Billy; oh, but it’s beautiful!

The lyrics inspires many different interpretations, but I like the idea about the shape-shifting Selkies. It is much preferable to the notion of a grisly murder.

About Anna

I am a ceramic sculptor living on the South coast near London, England. My work is influenced by my experience of the earth as a living being and seeing how we are all connected with eachother and with the things that surround us. I create ceramic torsos using molochite clay which I often smokefire in galvanised dustbins. I also make House Gods to protect and amuse, and Fat Birds - little smokefired sculptures that tell the story about what it is like to be a fat bird at peace with its surroundings.

  1. Your kitty looks so warm and snugly in bed! I’m actually sad that the 2-4 inches of snow predicted for us on Thursday night actually missed us completely over here. UK doesn’t get snow too much, so enjoy! :)

  2. Anna says:

Thank you! I hope you get some snow your way, too. It is rather pretty.

Looks really cozy… I miss my old cat…
Not snowed in here in here in Manchester, yet. But it’s not Friday yet ;)

  4. Anna says:

…Poor old Truls. Hope you’ve enjoyed England so far.

Yes, having a good time here. Explored Manchester with suburbs last weekend and a trip to Liverpool. During the weekdays it’s only time for work and some food before bedtime ;)
