Ceramic House Gods

My house Gods are small ceramic sculptures. Rather like the Roman Lares and Penates, a House God can be given any task under the sun.
Due to a nail through the head, this House God is often indisposed. When on form, though, he will rock your world! He responds well to lullabys sung with a slight Irish lilt. Smoke fired ceramics, appx.7”.
This thoughtful House God will look after Remote Controls. Load him up with good intent, and you will never loose your control behind the sofa again. Glazed and smoke fired ceramics, appx 7”

About Anna

I am a ceramic sculptor living on the South coast near London, England. My work is influenced by my experience of the earth as a living being and seeing how we are all connected with eachother and with the things that surround us. I create ceramic torsos using molochite clay which I often smokefire in galvanised dustbins. I also make House Gods to protect and amuse, and Fat Birds - little smokefired sculptures that tell the story about what it is like to be a fat bird at peace with its surroundings.
