Artwave 2012

I am looking forward to take part in the 19th Artwave art festival in and around Lewes, East Sussex,  this year. Geoff Stonebank and Mark Glassman are opening their house and garden in Bishopsstone  during late August and early September.

I will be showing some of my my ceramic pomegranates

My Little Owl and Fat Bird sculptures

…and perhaps a ceramic torso or two

This is Zacharias Angel.

There are eleven artists showing at Driftwood all in all; and I am looking forward to see the garden, the art on display and sample some of the  the exuberant looking cupcakes!

The art festival opens on Sat/Sun August 25 &26th 12-5pm
Bank Holiday Monday August 27th -I plan to be there on that day, by the way 2-6pm
Sat/Sun September 1st and 2nd Plus Sat/Sun 8th/9th 12-5pm

About Anna

I am a ceramic sculptor living on the South coast near London, England. My work is influenced by my experience of the earth as a living being and seeing how we are all connected with eachother and with the things that surround us. I create ceramic torsos using molochite clay which I often smokefire in galvanised dustbins. I also make House Gods to protect and amuse, and Fat Birds - little smokefired sculptures that tell the story about what it is like to be a fat bird at peace with its surroundings.

Cool. If I manage to get to the area on that day, I’ll try and stick my head in 🙂
