Ceramic Workshops in Hastings

I am running one to one and one to two ceramic workshops from my studio overlooking the Old Town of Hastings.
If you would like to try your hand at pottery and sculpting in clay, or if you already know a bit about sculpting but would like to try out some new techniques

…such as smoke firing

or life casting

then you can book a session through my website
If you don’t live locally and would like to spend a few days exploring Hastings as well as try your hand at pottery, you would be very welcome to  book a stay in my house via Airbnb.

I do not use a potter’s wheel but instead I use press molds to create individual bowls such as these

I am a ceramic sculptor living on the South coast near London, England. My work is influenced by my experience of the earth as a living being and seeing how we are all connected with eachother and with the things that surround us. I create ceramic torsos using molochite clay which I often smokefire in galvanised dustbins. I also make House Gods to protect and amuse, and Fat Birds - little smokefired sculptures that tell the story about what it is like to be a fat bird at peace with its surroundings.
